Here’s our pick for the top 10 goals of Euro 2020.

#10 Leonardo Bonucci (vs England)

67′ BONUCCI EQUALISES! Insigne’s corner is flicked on at the near post and Verratti heads it on goal at the back. Pickford makes a big save as he claws it against the post but Bonucci is following in to poke it past the keeper and into the back of the net. 1-1!

#9 Artem Dovbyk (vs Sweden)

GOAL! Ukraine have surely won it in extra-time! Dovbyk makes it 2-1 in additional time at the end of extra-time! It’s a superb cross into the box from the left wing by Zinchenko and Dovbyk gets ahead of his marker and powers a header into the back of the net. That should be enough to send them into the quarter-finals.

#8 Xherdan Shaqiri (vs Spain)

68′ SHAQIRI EQUALISES! It’s a horrible mix-up between Laporte and Pau Torres that lets in Freuler and he tees up Shaqiri in the middle of the box. The Spanish defence rush over to him, but he keeps his cool and slots it past Simon and into the bottom corner. 1-1! 

#7 Cristiano Ronaldo (vs Germany)

15′ GOOOOOOALLLL! 1-0 PORTUGAL! Ronaldo rises the highest to head away Kroos’ corner and Portugal set off on a rapid counter-attack. Silva races down the right-hand channel before chipping to Jota, who draws the goalkeeper out before rolling to his right. Ronaldo has an open goal as he taps-in from inside the six-yard area with his right foot to open the scoring. The Portuguese captain started and finished that move!

#6 Andriy Yarmolenko (vs Netherlands)

79′ WHAT A GOAL!!!! YARMOLENKO GIVES UKRAINE HOPE WITH A STUNNING STRIKE!!! 2-1!!!! The winger comes latches on to an offload from Yaremchuk before curling a super effort beyond the reach of Stekelenburg into the top-left corner. It’s an unstoppable strike from 20 yards from the West Ham man, and now Ukraine have something to play for in the final 15 minutes. Game on.

#5 Kai Havertz (vs Hungary)

66′ GOAL! GERMANY 1-1 HUNGARY! Germany breathe a sigh of relief! Kroos fires in a cross from the free-kick and Gulacsi misses his punch. Hummels has his header blocked and it loops up to Havertz who nods in from close range!

#4 Leon Goretzka (vs Hungary)

84′ GOAL! GERMANY 2-2 HUNGARY! Germany’s boldness pays off as their two substitutes combine! Werner crashes a shot against a defender in the box after receiving a pass from Goretzka. Goretzka is first to the follow-up and a slight deflection takes his shot past Gulacsi!

#3 Roman Yaremchuk (vs Netherlands)

79′ GOOOOOALLLLLL!!!! YAREMCHUK NODS HOME AN EQUALISER!!!!!!! 2-2!!!! Ukraine turned the game on its head in a matter of minutes. Malinovskiy delivers a perfect ball into the box from a free-kick. Yaremchuk makes a run and beats the attention of Weghorst on the penalty spot. He connects with a powerful header that travels beyond the reach of Stekelenburg into the back of the net.

#2 Robin Gosens (vs Portugal)

51′ GOOOOOOALLLL! 3-1 GERMANY! Muller wanders inside from the right-hand channel, working the ball out to the left of goal. As he has done all game, Gosens powers forward before driving low across the face of goal with his left foot. Gnabry and Havertz queue up at the back post and the latter taps-in from close range. Patricio is powerless to stop the German from inside the six-yard area and Low’s men now lead 3-1!

#1 Kai Havertz (vs Portugal)

60′ GOOOOOAL! 4-1 GERMANY! Havertsz offloads to Kimmich, who has acres of space and time to get his head up in the right-hand channel and he does so as he crosses towards the far post. The cross misses Havertz but Gosens arrives late at the far post to power a header into the top left. Semedo gestures that someone else should have been picking up the left wing-back, however, Gosens won’t care as he extends the Germans’ lead.
