One Lost Geek Top 100 Travel Photos (#90 to #82)

From Osaka in Japan to Saigon in Vietam, here is part 2 of One Lost Geek’s top 100 travel photos.

#90 Osaka Castle

FORTRESS OF SHOGUNS. In the 16th century, Toyotomi Hideyoshi chose Osaka as the location for his castle. Visitors will pass the castle’s several gates and turrets before arriving at this place which is turned into a museum.

#89 The statue of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, Osaka

THE GREAT SAMURAI. The statue of Toyotomi Hideyoshi stands outside the main grounds of the Osaka Castle. In Japan, he was a preeminent warrior, general, samurai, and politician and was regarded as the country’s second great unifier.

#88 Burnham Park, Baguio City

NO BLUE WITHOUT YELLOW AND ORANGE. The Burnham Park in Baguio City is typically photographed during the day but its colors bloomed also during the night. Find a seat during sunset behind a shade and enjoy the view of the picturesque lagoon while tasting the famous strawberry taho (fresh soft/silken tofu, strawberry syrup, sagu pearl).

#87 Merlion Park, Singapore

THE MERLION. Singapore’s landmark can be very difficult to photographed with hundreds of tourists swarming the famous Merlion day and night.

#86 Spider Cave, Boracay

FOOD AND SUNSET. The Spider pizza of Spider Cave in Diniwid beach. Sadly, now closed to the public after Boracay’s massive rehabilitation project, the place offered a cool view of the island’s sunset, the best in the world. It was also a diving spot.

#85 Enoshima Bridge, Shonan

ENOSHIMA BRIDGE. This bridge with a view of the nearby Enoshima Island can be found by (I’m not kidding) following the flow of locals from Komachi Dori Street passing the Kamakura Station. You will be greeted by a great view of the sea with sea gulls making a racket above you.

#84 Malcapuya Island, Coron

HIDDEN ISLAND. Once upon a time, when Coron Island in the Philippines was not yet famous, you can found yourself literally alone with your travel guide in this place called Malcapuya Island. The clearest water, the whitest fine sand, and a sumptuous feast for lunch make this island magic.

#83 Tanah Lot, Bali

HOLY PLACE. Head north of Bali to this place popular to locals. Tanah Lot is one of the important directional temples in Bali. The temple is located on a rock just offshore.

#82 Tokyo Central Station, Tokyo

THE GRAND STATION. When I say this place is huge, it is HUGE. I swear, even if you’re a master of Google maps, you will still be lost in this place. Hard to find, and with hundreds of entrances and exits (and its own hotel inside the station) , this place is still a must visit for tourists.

#81 Notre Dame Cathedral, Saigon

SAIGON CATHEDRAL. A landmark in South Vietnam’s capital, the Notre Dame Cathedral of Saigon is where tourists usually go for some IG photos. After strolling the area where the post office is also located, have some Pho (soup noodles) or score some souvenirs or maybe try some of their awesome coffee.
