#100 Kotoku-in Temple Grounds, Kamakura

OFF THE BEATEN PATH. Hidden deep within the the temple grounds of Kotoku-in, this expertly preserved shrine is located just a few steps from the famous giant Buddha of Kamakura, and is surrounded by a centuries old forest.

#99 Wat Lokayasutharam, Ayutthaya

SLEEPING BUDDHA. This reclining Buddha is one of the most common and iconic Buddha statues in this former capital of Thailand. Visit Wat Lokayasutharam as part of a tour under the tourism agency of the Ayutthaya.

#98 Imperial Palace, Tokyo

EMPEROR COURTESY CALL. Viewed only from afar near the Nijubashi Bridge (“Double Bridge”) where the royal family makes an appearance to the public on special occasions, the Imperial Palace here in Tokyo is home to Japan’s emperors since the Meiji Restoration.

YELLOW, THE COLOR OF BUDDHA. Buddhas in the ancient city of Ayutthaya are usually covered in yellow, the sacred color of Buddhism. Legend has it that when the white cloth Buddha wore and used to wrap dead bodies was tanned by the sun, and moistened by the rain, it became wheat colored.

COCONUT PATH. This famous Instagram spot is hard to find, due mainly for the fact that locals know this particular road by its different names, but also because Siargao boasts many views of coconut forests such as this.

BREATHTAKING SUNSET. At the roadside towards the famous surfers’ beach of Baler in the Philippines, this beachside is typical all over the country. Park your car by the beach, and basked in the view and exploding color of this sunset.
