“How to Sell Drugs Online (Fast)” is back for a second season.
The MyDrugs app is a hit and now Moritz, Lenny, and Dan have their first million Euros. In Bitcoin. While his partners want to exit the illegal drugs business, Moritz is not ready to let go of his online fame. There are consequences of selling drugs, and they will have to face it soon enough. That and converting Bitcoin into cash.

The nerds Moritz and Lenny return with their successful online drugs business MyDrugs in a series that is presented in a cool, humorous, and awkward way.
Based on a true story of a German who earned millions of euros selling drugs online while in his bedroom, the series features IT nerds Moritz (Maximilian Mundt) and best friend Lenny (Danilo Kamber). The two created an app for drugs with help from high school star Daniel (Damian Hardung). In season 2, the three have their first million Euros and they want out. But secretly, Mortiz doesn’t want to give up the app, and so begins the complex problems running only selling drugs can bring to teenagers.
The story of “How to Sell Drugs Online (Fast)” is told in a swift manner, with new characters being introduced and most dialogues in the form of text messages or chats online. The humor of these dialogues is still there, delivered by the actors with more credence. Loyalty, deception, relationships, and yes, even murder, are shown here through the eyes of two nerds (plus Daniel).
The writing and direction from Philipp Käßbohrer and Matthias Murmann were brilliant, as well as the actor’s performance. Mundt shines as Moritz with superb performances from Kamber and Hardung as well. It’s good to see Hardung’s character development from being a jock to a jock with a heart. “And don’t think you’re alone because you’re a misunderstood genius. No, you’re alone because you’re a bad person.”
It’s good that I could understand German a little because the English dubbed is so weird and inaccurate. Anyway, the characters speaking in Deutsche is part of the show’s charm, especially Dan saying “moment” in frustration.
Geek Rate
Sun god Worthy (4 out of 5 stars). What makes “How to Sell Drugs Online (Fast)” so good to watch is the fact that its concept is absurd but weirdly the audience can relate to it. The world of Gen Z with its problems was shown with a touch of honesty and the occasional humor. Season 2 ends with a high note, and we expect Season 3 to have the answers on some questions the series left behind.
