US GENERAL ELECTIONS: BATTLE FOR WHITE HOUSE
ELECTORAL MAP RELEASE NO.3
(Geek God Review electoral map generated with the help of 270towin. We cross-referenced available polls and election data to come up with our electoral map, with studies of 2008 and 2010 electoral results; Obama-McCain and Obama-Romney)
Hillary Clinton gets 204 electoral votes against 139 of Donald Trump with 98 electoral votes leaning for Clinton, 52 to Trump and 45 contested electoral votes from 4 battle ground states of Ohio, Iowa, Nevada, and North Carolina
It’s 56%-36% to Clinton from our last data’s 46%-36%. Clinton up 10%, Trump maintaining his percentage from last forecast, with gap widening from 10% to 20%.
THE CHANGES
Only four battles states remain as Hillary Clinton gets Wisconsin, Florida, and Michigan (leaning electoral votes). Mississippi, Georgia and South Carolina shifted to leaning electoral votes for Trump. Minnesota shifted to leaning electoral vote for Clinton.
THE ROAD TO 270: HILLARY CLINTON
Clinton just needs to clinch the 98 electoral votes leaning to her (she gained 50 leaning electoral votes from last time) to win the elections by a far margin.
THE ROAD TO 270: DONALD TRUMP
It’s looking grim for Trump (though not as grim as the other forecasts). Trump needs to clinch the 52 electoral votes leaning to him (he gained 25 leaning electoral votes from last time) but the lost of the battle ground states of Wisconsin, Florida, and Michigan (Florida is the killer) to Clinton is a major blow to him. He needs to win the remaining battle ground states (45 electoral votes) and bring back those states he lost to Clinton (55 electoral votes) to make the count 291-247 on his favor (best scenario).
