Mark González

foto_0000000220120902115641Born in South Africa, he is eligible to play for both Chile and South Africa, but he chose Chile instead.

On 21 June 2010, González scored the only goal of the game for Chile against Switzerland during the group stage of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in his birthplace South Africa, heading in a cross from Esteban Paredes.

He was named in the preliminary squad for the 2015 Copa America but was omitted from the final squad.

Mauricio Pinilla

pinillaPinilla was selected to the squad of 23 for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.He made his debut in the tournament on 14 June, playing two minutes in a 3–1 group stage win against Australia and being involved in Jean Beausejour’s goal.Again from the bench, he appeared in the round-of-16 against the hosts: his 119th minute shot hit the bar with the score at 1–1, and he later missed his penalty shootout attempt in an eventual elimination.

Pinilla was a member of the squad which won the 2015 Copa América on home soil for their first continental honour, making brief appearances in two games.On 29 March 2016, he and Arturo Vidal scored twice each in a 4–1 away win over Venezuela in qualification for the 2018 World Cup.

Sánchez was a member of Chile’s squad as they hosted the 2015 Copa América. He registered an assist in Chile’s 2–0 win over Ecuador in the tournament opener.Sanchez then scored in Chile’s final group game, with an excellent diving-header header in a 5–0 win against Bolivia which sent Chile through as group winners – he and Arturo Vidal were rested by being substituted at half time.
