As he parroted on several occasions, his experience makes him the best candidate for the job. And of course he is the current vice president. And also, “Ganito kami sa Makati…”
So before we begin, let us sing his campaign jingle: “Sino pa ba? OnlyBinay”
He could have been friends with the Greek god Hermes.
The vice president’s platform has three pillars: social inclusion/improvement of basic services, economic dynamism, and effective and caring governance.
The first pillar focuses on health care maybe so he could procure more beds in Makati hospitals. Not so much specifics on other infra projects.
The VP is also for promoting quality and free basic education, as well as, subsidizing higher education, again with no specifics on how he will achieve this, just like Grace Poe’s free lunch in public schools. He will also address the shortage classrooms and teachers, I mean just join Eat Bulaga’s bayanihan project or something.
Binay also wants to implement streamlined processes in taxation and in the release of different permits which I highly support. He is also for improving and modernizing infrastructure, for building a better public transport system and for having cheap electricity.
I mean, we also want those things, but how will you achieve it?
But this one is his forte: ensuring the tight coordination between the national and local governments on rules, programs and policies. I think he will succeed on this one.
